Fuels from Agriculture in Communal Technology

The FACT Foundation was established with the objective of uniting and promoting worldwide knowledge about biological fuels for and from developing countries. Originally a Dutch initiative, countries now involved in FACT include: Colombia, India, Mali, Tanzania, Uganda and SOPAC countries. Spearhead is the formation of demonstration projects in nine selected developing countries. Each 100 ha, these projects must help in generating and exchanging information about optimal use of capacities. Practice shows that bio-fuel projects have a good potential of being successful, although history has shown many failures. The FACT Foundation wants to gather and unite experiences from three continents to assure a fast and reliable development of biological fuels in developing countries.
